Programs and Services |
This new generation of health workers will be trained for one year to accomplish the above mission, including the empowerment of families on how to prevent diseases and how to promote their health; and the promotion of the health rights, health equity and social justice in the community he/he serves; he/she builds trust (among the community people) damaged by generations of racism. Imagine the great impact you will derive if you train or contribute any amount towards the training of one educator at $11,337 USD, who will save and change the lives of 200 families.
(2) Health Literacy Program
We educate and inform the lay public (online and in the communities) on health promotion activities, aimed at enhancing their physical, mental and social well-being. Strategies used include: the monthly health promotion newsletter – reinforced by our community health and nutrition educators trained as stated above; in addition two medical handbooks titled “My Guide in Disease Prevention”, and “My Guide in Health Promotion” will be published within two years (from now) to guide individuals and families in healthy living.
